“Theofanis” – food experience
The first cultural reference associated with Akrotiri, Santorini, is its prehistoric wall paintings, particularly the vegetal motifs of the Papyrus Fresco.
Although papyrus is not indigenous to Thera, its depiction suggests an early act of cultural borrowing, where local artists abstracted foreign iconography into a distinctly Cycladic visual language.
The Theofanis logotype draws from this logic of abstraction: a floral form reduced to a clear, contemporary mark that conveys elegance, clarity, and continuity rather than literal representation.
The colour palette is borrowed from Aegean architecture—whitewashed surfaces and the luminous sky-blue of doors and windows—combined with architectural structures such as arches, elements that are also present in the restaurant’s physical space.
The visual identity is applied consistently across all touchpoints, from roadside wayfinding and parking signage to stairs, exterior signage, menus, printed matter, and in-store applications.
The same system extends to social media and digital communication for events, ensuring a coherent and recognisable presence.
